The BRICs economies: Brazil, Russia, India, & China! Rapidly emerging global markets. I attended the Greater Dallas Chamber luncheon this week on engaging the Brazilian market. 100+ attendees. My tablemates: an Insurance executive from Baltimore planning to start doing business there, a sales executive already doing business there, and a counselor from DBU who expects more students in the future from Brazil. If your company is considering business growth through international markets, you may want to consider Brazil.
What convinced me? I went to Brazil in January. Wow! What a beautiful country. The trip was not for business but for the wedding of my nephew to a beautiful, young Brazilian woman. B&C! How blessed we are! Five days in Belem for the wedding. We squeezed in as much tourist time as possible. Then, all I can say is RIO, RIO, RIO! Three sparkling days! We stayed at the J.W. Marriott on Copacabana Beach. Add it to your top 10 list of places to visit. Business opportunities abound for small and large business. Top of my list are travel, tourism, retail, and media. I uncovered multiple opportunities for fine products for women.
Email me if you are interested in more information on strategies and innovation opportunities in the Brazilian market. Here’s a tip: If you plan to do business in Brazil, think about visiting. Let’s strategize on the right market opportunity for your company, where to go, and companies to visit. But go. First-hand insights may provide ideas for just the differentiation your company needs. And let’s plan to invest some of those new profits back into the U.S.
Obrigado.
